If there's one thing that I know about is putting your money into something you believe in. And being all the time hopping for it to work...
A friend of mine along with some of his friends, recently opened a store, they got this cool little place in Colonia Roma that used to be a tailor place so it has a really nice wooden front door and a huge mirror on one of the walls they fixed the rest of the place painting the walls in black and they also put a carpet on the floor. They also made their own silkscreened shirts that they have for sale along with other known clothing brands. But don't get fooled, this store is neither about the brands nor about selling you a sense of belonging to a so called subculture.
Their main goal is to carry books, something hard to believe now a days, when priting seems to be on it's way out, altough I have to say in the past months i have come across some enthusisasts of printed goods.
Besides all of the above at their store they are carrying the ANHN zines issues #1 and #2 and Sin Futuro #2.
So drop by STREETECNIK any time. The adress is Coahuila #137 Colonia Roma, Mexico D.F.. Monday thru Saturday from 1pm to 8pm.
